Comfy Cruiser carrying positions

 

Front Position - facing toward parent for smaller babies, usually less than 3 months.

  • Place padded waistband around your waist and adjust until firm but comfortable.
  • Sit on a chair and lay Front Pack down on your knee or stand and lay Front Pack on a table.  Lay baby on it's back on top of Front Pack and place baby's legs either side of the Front Pack's seat.
  • Lift Front Pack up and as you hold baby firmly, put left shoulder strap over your back and fasten to the right side buckle.
  • Take right shoulder strap and fasten to the left side buckle, making sure the straps cross over on your back.
  • Adjust straps for a firm, comfortable fit.

NB An ideal position to soothe unsettled babies by keeping them close to you.

 

Front Position - facing out for babies approximately 3 months and older

  • Place padded waistband around your waist and adjust until firm but comfortable.
  • Sit on a chair and lay Front Pack down on your knee or stabd and lay Front Pack on a table.  Lay baby on it's stomach on top of Front Pack and place baby's legs either side of the Front Pack's seat.
  • Lift Front Pack up and as you hold baby firmly, put left shoulder strap over your back and fasten to the right side buckle.
  • Take right shoulder strap and fasten to the left side buckle, making sure the straps cross over on your back.
  • Adjust straps for a firm, comfortable fit.

NB Turn down top band if it is in baby's face, tucking strap through loops provided.

 

Hip Position - for older children who still like to be close to you

  • Place padded waistband around your waist and adjust until firm but comfortable.
  • Position Front Pack on your preferred carrying hip (more easily done while sitting).
  • Take rear shoulder strap, place over shoulder, down back, under opposite arm pit and attach to front side buckle.
  • Place baby into Front Pack with baby's legs either side of the Front Pack's seat.
  • While supporting baby, take front shoulder strap over other shoulder, across your back and clip to rear buckle.  Ensure both straps are crossed over your back.

Back Position - for older babies

  • Lay the Front Pack on a flat surface such as a table, bed or chair.
  • Buckle right shoulder strap into right side buckle and the left shoulder strap into the left side buckle.
  • Sit baby on the Front Pack, facing you, legs either side of the Front Pack's seat.
  • Now, with your back to bed, table or chair place the padded waistband around your waist and fasten.
  • Pick baby up, piggy-back style, by slipping your arms through the shoulder straps and lift.  Adjust straps for comfort.
